Step ‘n Wash is the first and only self-retracting step that enables children to safely reach the sink and soap dispensers in public restrooms.
Every parent knows (or at least should know by now!) that hand washing is the most effective way to protect children against germs and viruses. The problem is that young children are not tall enough to reach the sink and soap dispensers in public restrooms. The only option for parents is to lift up and hold their 30 or 40 pound child against the counter which almost always results in poor hand washing, water all over the child’s shirt, water all over the restroom floor and frustration for everyone. Step ‘n Wash is the only safe and cost-effective solution to this problem.
We have collected a lot of data over the years. By using mechanical cycle counters we have been able to measure how many times Step ‘n Wash is being used. Depending on the type of business, you can expect Step ‘n Wash to be used between 5,000 and 25,000 times per year. Step ‘n Wash is used significantly more often than a diaper changing table and over a 5 year period if a Step ‘n Wash is used just 15 times per day that works out to less than 2 cents per use which is excellent customer service value.
Step 'n Wash can be found in thousands of businesses including airports, restaurants, shopping malls, zoos, aquariums, museums, amusement parks, churches and schools.

We took a great deal of care during the design process to ensure that when Step ‘n Wash is installed under a sink, that the sink would still remain accessible to adults. Because of its unique curved leg design, when an adult uses a sink where Step ‘n Wash has been installed, no part of their body will ever come in contact with Step ‘n Wash. As a further safety measure, when a child steps off of Step ‘n Wash, the hydraulic damper automatically returns the step back up and underneath the sink and completely out of the way.
Included with every Step ‘n Wash is a decal for the restroom mirror to advise your customers that a Step ‘n Wash has been installed in the restroom.
In order to be compliant with both ADA Access Guidelines (ADAAG) and Title

compliance with all of the ADA guidelines that relate to sink access, approach and turning radius.
